Tevel is the only U.S. angel club exclusively focused on Israeli high-technology companies. The club is operating in New York City since September 2007 and our members have invested in many of the more than 50 companies (screened from over 300) that presented in our 14 meetings since then. Starting in 2010, the club also holds meetings in Tel Aviv where the same companies present in both locations, creating the only known cross-country angel club.
We focus on companies from the sectors in which Israeli technology is demonstrating exceptional abilities, including Biomed, Internet, Telecom, Software, Clean-tech and Homeland Security. Each month, we carefully screen dozens of companies and select 3-5 promising start-ups to present in each angel club meeting, held 4 times a year. All of Tevel U.S. angels are required to be Accredited Investors as individuals or as representatives of such entities.
A core value of Tevel's angel club is to encourage philanthropic contribution alongside deal-making, therefore, at each meeting, a pre-screened Israeli-related charitable cause will present its case for the support and consideration of the members.
Tevel is welcoming companies to submit proposals for review by our executive committee, comprised of industry leading experts. This committee will screen the proposals and decide which companies will present in the club meeting.
CHARITIES: We are also select one charity
per meeting to present its
case for support before our angels. As opposed to the start up nature of
companies selected for Tevel's angel club, we seek established
non-profits with a proven impact to participate in this activity. For your charitable organization to be considered, please
